Summer Pack Trips

It's more than a horseback ride. It's a sightseeing extravaganza. It's the excitement of a suddenly taut line as a scrappy native trout hits your lure or fly. It's the thrill felt while watching elk, deer, moose and bighorn sheep as they graze in the high alpine meadows. It's cooking out, sleeping under the stars and the warmth of the cook tent at supper time. It's a vacation of a lifetime for the adventurous. So come on along with us as we ride through the majestic San Juan Mountains.

We start our summer pack trips in June of each year. We outfit in the Weminuche, La Garita and Sange De Cristo Wilderness areas in southern Colorado. Lightweight tents are used for lodging of guests and staff, Coleman lanterns are used for light. A separate tent will be used for cooking and dining.

We take pride in our reputation for providing plenty of high quality and well prepared meals in all of our outfitted camps. It will be necessary for each guest to provide their own sleeping bag and foam pad.

Each guest will be provided with a good saddle horse or mule fully equipped for the duration of their trip. We advise you to come prepared for warm sunshine, freezing temperatures, high winds, rain, sleet, snow, or hail.

A 50%, nonrefundable deposit is required to confirm all reservations.
